When it comes to group dog walking, CaNine 2 Five will never walk more than 4 dogs per walker at any one time and we ensure that temperamentally as well as geographically suitable dogs are walked together. Group dog walking is a fantastic way to socialise your dog and build their confidence and they benefit from this social aspect of their walks.
Our group dog walking sessions are an hour long not including pick up and drop off. We also offer individual dog walks that can be tailored to your dog's needs.
CaNine 2 Five is in the heart of Stroud and we are privileged enough to have a wide range of walking routes to choose from. We alternate our walking routes to ensure your dog doesn't get bored and has a variety of stimulating walks. All of the walks will be GPS tracked so you can see exactly where we have been.
Yes. If your dog is very nervous around other dogs then we can provide solo walks. However one of the biggest benefits of group dog walking is how much it can improve your dog’s socialisation. Therefore, if your dog is nervous but non-aggressive we can start off with solo walks and then slowly introduce him/ her to an appropriate group of friendly dogs, a little bit at a time. We are often amazed how quickly dogs can gain confidence and settle into a group dog walking with a little support from one of our lovely dog walkers.
Yes. We strongly recommend that you have an introductory meeting or trial walk to discuss your dogs individual requirements prior to walks taking place. It's important for us to know your dog's individual quirks. These can be arranged at short notice for a time that is convenient for you.
Getting to know your dog and tailoring enrichment to their needs really important to us. Are they a frisbee fan? Are they always losing tennis balls? We aim to include play and fun in our walks - for examples, check out our gallery.
Most of the time, yes. You will have a dedicated walker. However there may be the odd occasion due to illness or annual leave where we will need to switch walkers. The back up walker will be fully briefed on your dog’s specific requirements. All our team are very experienced and we communicate all the time so your dog will always be in excellent hands.
This depends on the individual dog. We only walk a maximum of 4 dogs per walker so we can give an appropriate level of care and attention to each dog. Current research has found no evidence that dogs can catch or transmit COVID-19. Nonetheless, we have taken extra precautions to carry hand gel and apply this before entering each home. If you will be at home for the pick up, we will maintain social distancing and we can wear a mask upon entering. Furthermore, we have increased the frequency with which we disinfect the van and transport cages.
